The Illusion at Irvine Valley College

A 17th century lawyer, facing mortality, desperate to find the son he banished years before, undertakes a journey into a cave to engage the services of a mysterious magician in the search for his long-lost son.  With the help of a peculiar servant, the magician conjures up visions from the son’s life during his 15 years spent in exile.  The lawyer (and audience) watch the illusions unfold, enthralled by his son’s struggles, but only when the strange tale reaches its conclusion does the lawyer confront the ultimate – and unexpected – truth about his son and himself.
